Syakyo - ʌo - Sutra copying+ Cha-no-yu - tasting a bowl of matcha -

Sya-kyo (ʌo) means copying Buddhist sutras.

Sya-kyo is a Buddhist training, but we can do sya-kyo outside of the temple nowadays.
It is said that sya-kyo likes one of the meditation
because we leave from our daily life from the strong concentration on it.

And it might be also effective for purifying our spirits.

Generally, there are two kinds of sya-kyo ;
copying the original characters freehand, and tracing over it.

We will trace over hannya-shingyo (ʎSo), one of the samples of Sutra,
using a Japanese brush pen and Japanese paper.

After sya-kyo, you will be invited as a guest to the tea ceremony,
held in the cha-sitsu (), tea ceremony room, which has tatamis.
There, you will savour a bowl of light matcha from Kyoto,
and enjoy the moment of cha-no-yu in a mood of quiet reflection.

Letfs feel the Japanese moment in Brussels!

* You can sit in the cha-shitsu in either the Japanese way or the Western way.
* You can participate in them just once or every time.
* It has no religious purpose.
